I hope that we, as the Church, can break out of our comfort zone and go out to make disciples of all peoples, instead of using the church as a social gathering or a way to improve our own standing in the community.

My hope for the Church is that it becomes the first place people think of when they need support, encouragement, and comfort...that we would be a places where our differences either don't matter or are celebrated...and that we would lead by example, modeling Christ's behavior instead of trying to legislate it.

My hope and prayer is that the church will finally relinquish its distracting focus on divisive issues and doctrines and set about actually being followers of Christ in a world that is waiting in desperation for the light we are supposed to be sharing. If only we could learn and practice true discipleship we could counter those who say, "I wish I had met Christ before I met Christians." Amen.

My hope for the Church is that more of us will BE the church for the world, that we will stop competing with other denominations for "turf" and worldly recognition, and start in purity of heart simply to live the life of Jesus 24/7/365, and to recognize Him in every Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist or "atheist" we meet, leaving all results, and all Glory, to Him.

I am a Christian, part of the Anglican faith, our little body meets in Carmichael, in Sacramento, at Church of
Our Lady of the Rosary, on Sundays, 9 PM Bible Study, 10 pm, Service. We would like to invite all people who love the Lord, and hold to the 1928 Book of Common Prayer to come and worship with us.
I Love the Lord Jesus Christ, He is my Savior and Lord, we believe in the Holy Trinity, one God, world without end.
Our Arch Bishop, James Providence, and our priests are dedicated to our Lord, our priest, is Father Sands, and he is dedicated to serving, and his sermons are very informative, and interesting. We take communion every Sunday, and I feel that taking communion keeps us close to our Lord, and helps us with all the struggles that we constantly go through in this world. We need to to be in church and fellowship with the Body of Christ, we need to be strong and we can be together. We all have certain gifts and everyone's gift is not the same, and we need to give it to the world we live in to change the world for the better. My hope for the Church of Jesus Christ is this that no person will be lost to world's values, that we will gain a personal, loving relationship with our Lord, and live lives pleasing to him, and that no person will be lost, but will gain peace, and love, and eternal life with our Lord.

My hope for the church is that we would pursue holistic freedom in such a way that the church leads the way in ending modern-day slavery. Joseph was the first victim of human trafficking. Then his entire family became slaves in the land of Egypt. God liberated them and sent prophets to remind the people over and over again that they were free and, therefore, had an opportunity to set others free (Isa. 58). Fast forward to Jesus, and he dies on the cross on the very day all of his people are remembering they were once slaves.
We live, worship, and work to fulfill the mission of Jesus. Jesus mission, as laid out in Luke 4, is one of holistic freedom. Jesus came to set others free - physically, emotionally, spiritually.
To that end, the Free Methodist Church created a missionary position within the denomination, appointing me as a missionary to end modern-day slavery. The Free Methodist Church partners with Not For Sale, where I serve as the Director of the Abolitionist Faith Community. This year, on Feb. 26, we will hold our 3rd annual Freedom Sunday - more than 5,000 churches in over 100 countries will preach, proclaim, sing, and then move forward into action. Worship is the catalyst for action. The church is engaging. This is a story that deserves and needs to be told.
This is my hope for the church: Live out the mission of Jesus; set others free; worship and act to end modern-day slavery and create new futures.

My hope and prayer for the Church is that we would be a community of saints who stand firm in our faith in Christ and His word. I hope that we can resist the temptations of the moral and religious relativism of our society and be examples of the one Way, Truth, and Life. And by our examples, with the blessings of the Spirit, that others will hear, see, and understand the Message.

I hope, trust and pray that the church will begin speaking more New Testament truth that Jesus is alive and He is the only hope for salvation and forgiveness of sin, true peace and eternal life. The church and many clergy seem to be more intent on being cool and accepted by our pluralistic moral-relative society than pleasing God. We desperately need more prayer and Holy Spirit anointed preaching. We have lost the fervor and urgency. Programs and entertainment are not the answer. We can do nothing without Christ.

My hope for the church is that it would be a community of people who have been transformed by the Gospel, and because of this, walk in repentance and faith, care for the "least of these" among them, and seek justice and righteousness as they live out the Gospel day by day.
