My hope for the church is for it to become Gospel-saturated and focused on the fact that Jesus is the Hero of our story, not us. He is Superman; we are Lois Lane. It is Christ that must be exalted, not us and how cool, hip, awesome we are!

My hope fore the church is to be passionate about reaching unreached people groups and raising up leaders who raise up leaders...

My hope for the church is that we can be a place that is an embassy of the Kingdom of Heaven. A place without worry and fear, but where we find Life knowing the God who is sovereign and loving.

To increasingly become God's living and local presence in the community it reflects and the neighborhoods it's members live and work in. To be sent in a way that reflect how God made them what their neighborhood looks like, rather than copying the church down the street or across the world.

My hope is that the Church will be the body of Christ in motion. Meaning that our worship and our study of Scripture will move us to be externally focused and reach out to the lost, the least and the lonely in our neighborhoods, our state, our nation and our world. Taking the love and grace and mercy that we sing about and hear about into the other spaces of our life--becoming missionaries in our culture and making an impact for the Kingdom of God!

My hope for the church in our present time is that it return to a reliance on Jesus only, independent of cultural or political orientations, separated from civil religion, and turning away from the mere moralism into which it has been falling.

My hope for the Church is that we with one voice love the hurting broken world we live in. That we would faithfully proclaim the Gospel and be living examples of the redemptive grace of God. I hope that our lives would shout that change is possible.

My hope for the church is that we continue to speak the truth in a world that desperately needs it and that we never stop fighting to save the lost. I also pray that even across denominations, we remember that we are brothers and sisters of the same Father with the same commission and we need to love one another and work together. Can you imagine what a force the Church would be if we were united if not in doctrine then in cause?

I hope the Church (in America) embraces a robust global theology that celebrates and seeks to learn from our brethren across the globe. I hope we would seek the transform the culture without becoming indistinguishable from it.
